Questions, answered

Know exactly what
you are installing.

Clear expectations make for better WordPress maintenance.

Is CoderVex Site Guardian free?

Yes. Version 1.3.0 is available under the GPLv2-or-later license. The existing free functionality works independently and does not require the optional add-on.

Does the plugin send diagnostic data to CoderVex?

No. Scan evidence, reports, settings, and redacted diagnostic events stay in your WordPress database. The website download counter is separate and is disclosed in the privacy section above.

Can Site Guardian repair errors or roll back updates?

No. Its health checks and guidance are read-only. Update Safety records observed updates and factual scan comparisons; it does not restore files, change configuration, or claim that an update caused a finding.

What does WP Doctor inspect?

WP Doctor presents persisted health findings and supported local PHP diagnostic events with evidence, timestamps, limitations, and safe troubleshooting guidance.

Is this external uptime monitoring?

No. Local Monitoring reports information observed inside the WordPress installation. It cannot independently verify availability while the website or server is unreachable.

What are the requirements?

CoderVex Site Guardian 1.3.0 requires WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.1 or later.

The REST health check can call your own site. An administrator-triggered core integrity check can request official checksums from WordPress.org. This website records a download timestamp, IP address, approximate country/region/city, browser details, and referrer when the plugin ZIP is requested. IP addresses are sent to IP-Info for approximate geolocation. These records are used only for download analytics and support.
